(MASE CREW, SAM)
Born in the island of Sumatra, his father was a manager for a local oil company. Most of the time, his childhood were spent from one small town to another small town around Sumatra and Papua following where his dad is placed.
In 2002, he moved to Jakarta to continue his high school. In this capital city, he found his love into the world of graffiti. Together with the rise of graffiti and street-art scene in Indonesia, in 2004 he joins Tembokbomber, the first and the biggest graffiti and street-art community in Indonesia. That year he decide to started writing graffiti and focusing himself on this art of spray-painting. In the year of 2005, he's invited to join two Jakarta-based graffiti crew, which are SAM (Slapping All Motherfuckers) and MASE CREW (Mad Artists Striking Existence). Nowadays, with writers line-up like Nsane5, Cabi1, Graver, Name2, Netic9, Abang8, Mumu, Kuner, Same33 and Tutu, MASE CREW is recognized as one of the most profilic graffiti writer team in Indonesia.
The "CABI1" alias is come from the slang of "chubby" in Bahasa Indonesia which representing his looks. Most of his works are usually executed in bright and vivid colors, mixed with bold and clean outline on a character look-a-like letter structure which has been recognized as his signature style.
